I have posted a link to non-germinoma germ cell tumor information on the "Links I Like Section" of the blog, to the left.

Thanks to Lizzy for finding this.

  1. That's great news about the RMD house. Glad to hear that you are settled in and it's not too far from the hospital. I'm so glad that you are posting pictures. It's GREAT to see Matt with his eyes open. We need to visit now that Sleeping Beauty is awake! Can't wait for the Billy/Matt reunion.
A great big hug to the three of you here...and hugs too for Lizzy and David. We miss you guys!! We'll be in touch.

  2. It is wonderful to see that Matt is awake again and using his computer and the white board. As you said, it must be so confusing to wake up far away from home not knowing all of the many things re: his medical status that had been going on and the implications of all of those things.
The link you posted re: germinomas is a great one! It's one I found in a search earlier in the week that stood out to me for 2 reasons: 1) It seemed to be a well-organized article about germinomas; and, 2) the author was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. When I was searching for that I also came upon a website related to a search on the NIH that I was doing. It's an on-line site for prayer for people with brain tumors. The NIH is doing some research on the power of prayer for people with a certain type of brain tumor (but people on the prayer list appear to have many different types of brain tumors and not just the type being studied at NIH). If anyone is interested in the link, here it is:

Take care...and I know you'll "keep the faith"!! Charlotte D.

  3. Adding to my last comment re: the "prayer" link (see above): I don't know anytning about whether that is a "good" link or not. I just found it interesting that the role of prayer in healing was being researched at NIH. Charlotte

  4. Thanks for all the photos and keeping everyone up to date. We have prayed for y'all with several different groups and don't miss a chance to ask folks to pray for Matt. The Lord is with you all and He is in control...
