Hopkins Day 2

Matt had a decent night. It was very hard for Noel to leave him but we're not that far away and she made it without too much worry.

The MRI was only partially successful. Matt had a hard time staying still during the MRI so they couldn't get all of the imaging that they needed. They really need to do an MRI with contrast and they're trying to figure out how to do that safely. The imaging that they did get showed something like a growth (I'll try to get the name later for you medical types)or infection site on his spine that had not been previously noted. They need additional MRI imaging to nail this down. Don't get freaked out about this, it is very preliminary.

They also see what looks like a bone infection where he broke his tail bone. Again, the MRI will help nail that down. They are also bringing in infectious disease Docs to consult on this.

They are still trying to nail down his meds and feeding and getting used to his condition.

More to come later.
