It's looking promising for the MRI today. The anesthesia Doc came in and consented Matt. They have extended his TPN (IV Nutrition) tubing so he can still get it during the MRI. Transport is on the way.
Matt is getting ready to go for his MRI. The Anesthesiologist told us that they will probably bring him to another, advanced care unit to wake him up rather than try to wake him in the MRI room. This will give them access to all of the stuff they need to assure his safety.
There is a chance that they will bring him to ICU and keep him intibated and under sedation overnight. They would do this if his Cardiac MRI can be done tomorrow. The Cardiac and Neuro MRIs can't be done in the same session because they think that he would not tolerate being under that long.
Depending on what they see in the MRI, the neurosurgeon may do a biopsy on the spine growth (an L1 Ependymoma)on Monday. Any biopsy on the stuff in his head will have to wait.
He's leaving now.
On the home front, I got us moved to our new, quieter, bigger bed townhouse. It is a little farther to walk but it will be worth it.
