Well Matt's nurse has been busy this morning. Matt's rectal catheter came out completely. This made a huge mess but, didn't mess up the wound dressing. Thank God!
There was much discussion as to what should be done now since it was still inflated when it came out. Also, since Matt is nutropenic, it is not a good idea to put a foreign object into him since it could cause infection. They decided to put an external bag on him which should work to keep his wound clean also. During the clean up effort Matt found out that his nurse today is a Bills fan. He decided not to hold that aqgainst her. He just hopes he still has bragging rights at the end of her shift tonight. We had to make sure to move his pillow with the Saints Pillow case Michelle Holland made for him before the nurse tried to hide it from him.(ha ha ha) GEAUX SAINTS!!!
Right now he is watching the Ravens game and trying to rest for the game at 4. Of course the visit by a physical therapist to work with him put a cramp into that plan.
