Thursday

Matt got a package today from the Haley family. He liked the cards but, got really excited by the SAINTS hospital gown that Rhonda made for him. Thanks Rhonda for making his day. The picture above is of Matt wearing the gown.

Today Matt took four steps on two different occasions. He did a wonderful job. After therapy the doctors decided to try not replacing the rectal tube since it keeps coming out.

Tomorrow Matt starts his second round of chemo therapy. I am praying that he does as well with this round as he did with the first.

  2. Hi Matt & family,

My name is Kathy Tomaszewski, and my cousin Anne Dupre just emailed me that you are at Hopkins because she just realized that's where I work. I'm a pediatric nurse who works in the adolescent clinic, in a separate building called the Harriet Lane Clinic (primary care).

I cannot visit you in person because I received live vaccine for the swine flu today, which would put Matt at great risk, but I wanted to let you know that I'm here if I can help in some way. The best way to contact me is through my work email: ktomasz1@jhmi.edu.

Best wishes with the second round of chemo tomorrow. I"ll be thinking if you.

    Warmly, Kathy
