Matt had a busy day today. Good thing he got some sleep last night. First he got a visit from PT where he worked very hard. Then the doctors came in to examine him. Then the wound care folks came by and changed his wound vac dressing. Then there was the normal routine of meds, trach care, etc. They also decided to remove the Foley catheter today.
Results and Developments Today
1. White counts are dropping but still in the acceptable range.
2. Catheter removed
3. Doctors have set up a consult with plastic surgery to possibly close up the bedsore. This would be a big help and go a long way toward preventing infection.
4. Matt is back on Facebook
5. Bedsore is healing well
6. We are getting serious about transferring back to N.O. They are going to get the coordinator to come see us to discuss the move back at the end of the month.
7. They are probably going to do the MRI late next week.
