Remember, "No Cry Wednesday" has been officially suspended for this week.
Well, a bittersweet day today. Our last day at Hopkins. These folks, from the doctors to the nurses to the folks who clean the room have been FANTASTIC! We will miss all of them but we will be SO happy to be back in N.O.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of the wonderful folks at Johns Hopkins Hospital. You are all wonderful and have probably saved Matt's life. We will be forever grateful to all of you.
Matt was really surprised when I walked into the room this morning. He threw his arms open wide and gave me a big hug. That reaction alone made the trip up here worth it. We have one last procedure to go before we leave: installation of a new PIC line. We also hope to hear about the MRI results.
The schedule:
I have a flight to New Orleans (via Orlando - the Disney Express) that leaves Baltimore at 12:10 and arrives in N.O. about 3:45 pm.
Noel and Matt will leave JH at about 2:30 pm and travel to the airport via ambulance. They will fly the air ambulance to N.O. and then travel to Children's Hospital, arriving there about 6:30 pm.
Please don't plan on visiting Matt tonight as it will take the nurses at Children's several hours to get him settled in. They are going to need us to be out of the room during this time. Visitors will be welcome starting on Thursday.
I have posted a link to the Children's Hospital website on the left.
