A tough, busy day today...
Matt's J-Tube came out early this morning. By noon, they had a new one in place but it was upsetting for a while.
Matt was experiencing an altered mental state because of the ifosomide. This is a know side effect of this drug but it is still hard to watch. The effect is not as bad as the first time he had this drug at Hopkins which may be a sign that the neurology in improving. We were able to get thru this with a lot of prayer from friends and family.
Matt is doing better this evening and we are gearing up for the last doses of the chemo drugs for this cycle. the Docs have developed a plan for dealing with the side effects (mostly thru regular doses of Ativan). Noel is also going to stay tonight to help care for Matt.
We look forward to seeing the neurological improvements from this round.

will say some extra prayers tonight. talked a lot to phyllis ann about what is going on with matt while she was here. even though i read this every day she told me more which makes me admire matt even more. he is really an incrediable human being. God must have some special things for him to do after this is all over. what a special man he will be. please give him our love.
