First, a correction on Matt's weight, he weighed on a standup scale today and weighed 106 lb. Our thoughts are that yesterday's weight on the sling scale was wrong somehow. He surely didn't lose 9 lb overnight. That saying about "you can't be too rich or too thin" well, I disagree with the too thin part.
Matt did all of the "Ts" today (PT, OT, ST and MT) and did a good job in spite of being tired in the afternoon. He was in the wheelchair for a total of about 60 min. No walking today (this was planned) but he is going to walk tomorrow.
Eye doctor came by this evening and Matt's eyes are looking good for someone who can't blink.
Speech therapist noticed slight improvement in mouth movement and ability to swallow saliva.
Oncology docs are lining up the first doses of chemo drugs for tonight. They are going to monitor him carefully for the side effects that he got the last time he got Ifosomide (squirming and mild hallucinations). Please pray that side effects will be minimal and that further neurological progress is made with this round of chemo.
If you want to come by and visit, Matt is still in Room 437. There are no restrictions on visitors except that you should not come if you are sick.
