Tuesday Morning

Things are pretty steady right now. Matt did have a few of the coughing fits last night and we have a request for respiratory to come look at the trach placement. It seems like that is the key to stopping the fits. He is getting an echocardiogram right now, which is kind of routine so they can monitor his heart function.

His blood counts are coming down, which is expected being that today is day 10 of this chemo cycle.

We are still waiting on the test results from the spinal fluid for an update on how the tumors are doing. We may have been a little premature last week with the meaning of the news that there were no cells in the fluid. While this is a good thing, it is not the final word on how the tumor is doing.

We had a nice visit with our friends, the Summers, yesterday morning. It was really good to see them, if only for a little while.

Finally, when I told Matt this morning that the Bears beat the Vikings last night, I got a really nice fist pump from him.
