Noel asked me to come to the hospital early today to see Matt's latest "trick". When I got here, he looked at me and said "hi Dad". That's right, he said it. Now, his speech is very scratchy and it takes a lot of effort but he is definitely talking. I didn't think he was supposed to be able to do this with the trach in but he is.
Everybody around here is really excited about this development.
Also, we just weighed Matt and he is up to 130.5 lb, this is a 15 lb gain since Christmas.
Keep praying folks, its working.

Praise Jesus, He always answers prayers. if he can talk with the trach he will be able to easily talk without it. my late husband had a trach for 4 months and started doing that when they removed it he spoke perfectly. i hope they take it off soon. matt you are on your way honey. will continue to pray so you continue the fight. luv ya
