Faith also sent Matt 3 Saints pillow cases (don't tell the NFL, we might get sued). Matt kept one and gave one each to his friends Micah and Daniel.
Medically, Matt is having a few problems which the doctor are dealing with. The most serious is blood in his urine. They ran some tests today and we should have the results soon. Matt is getting some platelets and whole blood tonight because his counts are down a little.
His coughing fits are a little better, both in frequency and intensity. His weight is also up to 127 lb which means he is getting a good amount of nutrition. For those of you who have visited, his sand bed is gone and has been replaced by an air bed. This was on the recommendation of PT and to me is a sign of progress with the bedsore.
Matt was interviewed by a reporter from the Time Picayune today. These interviews are becoming old hat to Matt by now. We'll let ya'll know when the article is going to be published.
I am glad to see you like the bear. I saw the shirt and fell in love. I just knew it was the right one for you. Glad to see Daniel and Micah got some gifts to. If you need more let me know. I know you are ready for the BIG game on Sunday and we are to. GEAUX SAINTS.

GEAUX SAINTS TO A SUPER VICTORY!!!! Wishing you a victory, too, Matt, over your illness. I know a Saints victory will help in your recovery in addition to the good care of the doctors, nurses, and your family and friends.
