Matt is recovering well from his surgery to close his bedsore. In fact, they removed most of the dressing from the wound yesterday and the Surgeon said that the wound looks great. They are letting him roll onto his back for short periods so that helps him a little.
We are still trying to figure out what is causing his coughing fits. They did several studies yesterday and we are waiting on the results. The couching is really Matt's biggest medical problem right now so please pray for healing for this and wisdom for the doctors.
Next week, they are going to put in a G-J tube (no surgery required) so that they can go back to feeding him.
We're hoping for a quiet weekend.

ReplyDeleteGreat news about Matt's surgery and continued progress! You left off a couple of things that you may have over-looked. The two biggest things I see in Matt's new pictures are OPEN eyes and a CLOSED mouth. This to me says that something is working. We continue to Praise God for His goodness to Matt. Stay strong!!
