Well, we have had a pretty uneventful week with Matt medically. His V Y Adjustment flap surgery (for the bed sore) is healing quite nicely. The drain and staples should be removed on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. He will go on Monday, to Touro Hospital, and get simulated for radiation. Basically, he will go and the doctor will set the parameters of the machine for Matt's specific radiation. The doctors here have begun taking Matt off of four of the antibiotics he was on the past two weeks. Tomorrow Dr Singleton is getting together doctors from all departments who have had dealings with Matt to discuss where we are and where we are going. I am looking forward to hearing from her the outcome of their discussions. On either Wednesday or Thursday of next week, Matt should begin radiation treatments. This step seems like it has been a long time in coming. Please pray for Matt to continue to be strong during this time.
On another note, please pray for my friend Joelle and her mother Anita. Today, Nita's husband Danny Watsky passed away from a heart attack which he suffered at work on Friday. I am also asking for prayers for Joelle's husband Eddie and their daughters, Hannah and Charlotte as they all deal with the loss. I WILL MISS YOU PAPA BEAR!!!!

GLAD TO HEAR THAT MEDICALLY, THAT MATT CONTINUES TO DO WELL. THE PARAMETERS ARE SET BY A "DOCIMATRIST" LONG "O" (SP?). I LEARNED THIS TERM WHEN I HAD MY PARAMETERS SET FOR MY RADIATION. THEY USE WHAT LOOKS LIKES A MAGIC MARKER AND THE MARKS NEVER GO AWAY BUT I WEAR THEM PROUDLY, LIKE A BADGE OF HONOR. AUNT ALICE
