Matt slept well last night. His hemoglobin count came up after he received the two units of blood. Also, his blood pressure did stabilize. Today has been another busy day for the nurses caring for Matt. Between trach care, bathing, meds, and his monitors going off he is keeping his main nurse on her toes.
Thank You to Charlotte who sent a New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers care package for Matt. We shared one bag of the Zapps chips at the Ronald McDonald House last night. The people who ate some enjoyed them. We gave one bag to the nurses on duty today and one to the oncology doctors when they came in. Everyone was thankful for the treat. He also enjoyed his posters and card. Thanks also to the Summers for the card he really liked it.
Matt did have an echocardirgram run this morning. No results yet.
He is looking forward to the arrival of his visitor from home later today. Jim Holland, his youth pastor is coming to visit. He should be here soon.

I'm praying that one day Matt can eat chips (just a "healthy" amount, of course) and anything else he wants! Glad to hear that his hemoglobin and blood pressure were better. Take care! Charlotte
ReplyDeleteI'm still checking the blog daily, still praying for all of you, and still feeling good about Matt's complete recovery and healing.
ReplyDeleteLove to everyone!

thanks for keeping everyone up to date on matt. i talk to phyllis ann every once in a while to find out what was going on so when you got this she gave me the info on how to get on. this gives me specific things to talk to God about every day for matt. hope one day to have matt and the family come to north carolina to sit on the porch and gaze at the mountains. it is so beautiful and peaceful. matt will get some pictures and send them to you so that you will want to come as soon as you are well and that wont be long. i know you may not even know who we are but i feel like you are part of my family too. pray for you every night.
