John has gotten home to New Orleans safely. Nana has arrived in Baltimore safely. She and I made it back to the hospital before 3:00 pm. He walked across the room today with the dynamic duo. His nurse, Kara, said they had him walk from the door to the window. Of course since I was gone I didn't get any pictures today. Hopefully tomorrow.
I don't know yet about his blood counts. I also missed seeing the doctors while I was out. Right now Matt is working with the Speech Pathologist. She is excited about how much better he is doing today. She said there is more tone in his tongue and lip. She also felt a little more movement in his larynx.

Matt,
ReplyDeleteI have been following along and see how much of a Saints' fan you are. Well I am too! Interestingly--my husband is a Giants' fan and my sister-in-law, who lives in Baltimore, is too. So yesterday when the Saints put the biggest beating ever on the Giants, I got major bragging rights. I get to torture them for a long time. Don't get me wrong---when they are playing each other, my husband roots for Saints. But when they play each other, our home is divided. Our daughter even has a half and half jersey. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Dr. Jones
