Wonderful Wednesday

Today Matt hit another therapy milestone. This morning he got in the wheelchair with his Physical Therapist for about an hour. He was able to go to the playroom on this floor and do his exercises with the PT and Music therapist. He laid in the bed until the afternoon when the Occupational Therapist got him back in the wheelchair. She also took him into the playroom and they played cards. The milestone I mentioned is that he was in the wheelchair another thirty minutes this time. This is the first time, since August that Matt has been out of bed twice. Also, the amount of time out of bed is impressive.

His counts are beginning to come up, as expected. We are praying that the blood counts come up to the correct levels by Tuesday when his next round of chemo is scheduled to begin.

  6. Awesome news!! Keep up the good work. Hey, did you ever look into the computer generated voice that some systems offer? It reads aloud whatever you type. This may be something that would allow Matt to communicate more effectively.
We sure miss visiting with you all...but glad that you are closer to home again.
    Hugs to all,
    Ray, Kate and Billy
