What a day....
Noel calls me this morning from David's school...she's having chest pains. She gets someone there at the school who is first aid trained to look at her and they think it's not cardiac related. Noel goes to the doctor and it turns out to be a pulled muscle, probably from wrestling the dog in and out of the car. Which leads to....
Our dog has had a growth on his side for a few years. Every year, the vet tells us it's nothing to worry about. Well, last week, the thing starts to bleed (the dog has been staying at Noel's parents for the last few months). Noel takes him to the vet on Tuesday and it turns out that he needs surgery to remove this thing. Noel brought him to the vet for the surgery this morning in the midst of her chest pain. That's one tough girl, Noel. The dog is doing fine after surgery and has a big scar to show for it.
Matt had a pretty good day today (though not as good as yesterday). He sat up in the wheelchair for about 1/2 hour. Plan is to try some standing tomorrow.
Tonight David is leaving on a school trip to Disney World. They are riding a bus all night and will arrive at Disney on Friday morning. Weekend and Monday at Disney then back on the bus Monday night for an all night drive back to N.O. to arrive home Tuesday morning. God bless those chaperons and that bus driver!
