Today, Matt is going to be having two procedures done at around noon local time. The first is a diversionary colostomy, to keep the poop from leaking and getting in the wound. This will then allow us to go back to the wound vac and help the wound to heal faster. It will also make rehab easier when we get to that.
The second procedure is called a Nissen. This will help Matt not to have as much of a reflux problem. Both of these procedures will be done at the same time. John and I are asking for prayers for a successful outcome.

I hope that Matthew is out of surgery and doing well. Many prayers are said for him each and every day. Thank you for keeping us posted about what is going on with him and the family. Loved the video of him playing the bongo! Will keep him and all of you helping him in my prayers.
